Tree Replacement Program

Grundy Electric Cooperative maintains an aggressive right-of-way program. This program is important in our continuing effort to provide safe and reliable electric service to members. If it is determined that a lawn tree is growing in the right-of-way and interfering with electric service, GEC will give the property owner a tree to replace the problem tree. The member will be given a choice of four types of trees. The location of the new tree will be the homeowner’s choice provided it is within recommended distance from the power lines.
