A 2010 Energy Efficiency Program

Grundy Electric offers a Dual Fuel Rebate Program (air-source heat pump with a natural gas/propane back-up furnace) for qualifying installations. Rebates are available for new home construction, home additions and change out of conventional equipment to dual fuel. The rebate totals $200.00 per ton for qualified installations with a maximum rebate of $2000 per member. All rebates are subject to fund availability.

• Members interested in this rebate should contact Randy Kinnison prior to purchase and installation of equipment to clarify all necessary requirements.
• Heat pump installations must be supported by a Manual J “Residential Load Calculation” published by the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA). Please ask your HVAC contractor to verify that these requirements are met. This calculation can be completed by your cooperative energy advisor, Randy Kinnison for a charge of $50.
• The equipment must be installed in a permanent facility served by Grundy Electric.
• Units must meet the EPA Energy Star rating (14.5 seer or higher).
• The member must participate in the Cooperative’s Energy Management Program.
• Units must be sized to the cooling load.
• Units must be locked out at 25 degrees Fahrenheit (capacity balance point).
• Limit of one rebate per member location.
• Please note that certain restrictions apply.
