Grundy Electric Cooperative offers a ground source heat pump rebate for qualifying installations.
Rebates are available for new home construction and home additions.
- Members interested in this rebate should
contact Randy Kinnison prior to purchase and installation of equipment to clarify all necessary requirements.
- Ground source heat pumps must be installed with a Delta-T of 80 supported by a
Manual J “Residential Load Calculation” published by the Air Conditioning Contractors of America
(ACCA). Please ask your HVAC contractor to verify that these requirements are met.
This calculation can be completed by your cooperative energy advisor,
Randy Kinnison for a charge of $50.
- Grundy Electric will provide a
$750 per ton rebate to the member for a qualified ground source heat pump installation.
- Rebates are only available for installations by a qualified contractor. (Please confirm that your contractor is on GEC’s “Contractor List” or the equipment will not be rebated.)
- The ground source heat pump must be installed in a permanent facility served by Grundy Electric.
- The member must participate in GEC’s Energy Management Program.
